The Uganda Lady Volleyball Cranes have confirmed their place at the African Nations Championship, set to be staged in Kenya, following a commanding performance in the CAVB Zone V Qualifiers at Lugogo Indoor Arena.

On Friday, Uganda produced a clinical and disciplined display to defeat South Sudan 3-0, a result that not only underlined their superiority but also secured their qualification with a game to spare. The win marked their second triumph in as many matches, guaranteeing a place at the continental showpiece.

From the opening whistle, Uganda imposed their authority with pace, precision and superior athletic movement. Their intensity immediately unsettled South Sudan, as the hosts stormed to a comfortable 25-13 win in the first set, laying the foundation for a dominant evening in front of their home supporters.

The second set followed a similar pattern, with South Sudan struggling to cope with Uganda’s aggressive attacking play at the net. The visitors were repeatedly exposed in blocking situations, allowing Uganda to exploit gaps with ease and control the tempo of the game.
