Suubi Peyton Mary emerged as the star of the Ugandan contingent, competing in five events and breaking three national records. Her campaign began on December 12 in the girls’ 1500m LC freestyle final, where she clocked a time of 18:46:08. Finishing fifth overall, Peyton not only set a new national record but also sent a strong message that Uganda’s youth swimmers are capable of challenging the continent’s best.
