
It is the business end of the 2023 USSSA National Boys football championship with the semi-final line up complete following a thrilling quarter final round which was concluded on Thursday, 18th May 2023.
With the battle for the four available tickets to the 2023 East Africa football championship that will be staged in Huye city, Rwanda (August) wrapped up, the next battlefront is left for the title, with only four schools now left in contention for the ultimate prize.
Unbeaten and high-flying St. Henry’s College Kitovu, who have been among those making waves with their impressive performances in this year’s championship are in line for this year’s crown after picking up a 1-0 victory over West Ville High School in the first quarter final played at Nyakasura playground I thanks to Jonathan Kyalema’s strike in the dying minutes of the game.
They have booked a date against Royal Giant High School from Mityana , the latter registered a 1-0 hard-fought victory over Wakiso District champions Buddo SS to book their first ever semi-final slot thanks to Annest Ankunda’ strike in the first 60 seconds of the game.

Elsewhere , Amus College School from Bukedea have booked a match up against defending champions St. Mary’s SS Kitende , and just like Royal Giants High School, they’re are in line for their maiden crown.
The Bukedea based school (Amus College School) earned a place in the last four after a 3-1 convincing victory over record winners Kibuli SS.
Bran Toto Majubu, Allan Oyirwoth and John Brian Otim scored for Amus College School whilst Davis Busuluuwa got the consolation goal for Kibuli SS.
In the semi-finals, Amus College School come up against St. Mary’s SS Kitende who picked up a 2-1 hard-fought victory over Standard High Zzana in their quarter final duel played at Nyakasura playground I .
Habib Oloya and Ronald Madoi, both attached to Wakiso Giants Football Club in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League scored for the defending champions while Hamzah Ntangunzire got the consolation for Standard High School, Zzana.
