Kitara FC wrapped up the opening round with a stunning 3-1 turnaround against Soltilo Bright Stars in Masindi on Friday. After taking a hit with a 2-1 loss to Busoga United earlier in the week, Kitara pulled off a spirited performance.
In the early minutes, Nelson Senkatuka netted a quick goal to put the visitors in the lead, setting the stage for an intense clash. Mucureezi, representing the home team, leveled the score in the 34th minute, bringing the first half to a deadlock.
The turning point came just five minutes into the second half when Mucureezi fired Kitara into the lead, marking their first advantage in the game before Jude Semugabi sealed the deal with a decisive strike in added time, securing the triumphant comeback.
Kitara now claims the second spot on the Uganda Premier League table with an impressive 29 points, while Bright Stars holds the 10th position with 18 points.Title:
