Record champions Kawempe Muslim SS have named their final squad for this year’s edition of the Fresh Diary Secondary School Football Girls’ National Championship hosted by Ntare School in Mbarara city between 7th to 15th May 2023.

Kawempe’s squad is purely dominated by players from Fufa Women Super league club Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC led by 2023 FUFA Women Super League top-scorer and MVP Shakirah Nyinagahirwa, Samalie Nakacwa (captain) and the exciting duo of Phiona Nabulime and Hadijah Nandago.

The above players are joined by former Luweero Giant Queens duo of custodian Saidah Namwanje and midfielder Babirye Hadijah who joined the Kawempe based school from Kayindu Senior Secondary school after their eye-catching performances during last year’s edition of the championship held in Gulu.

There are also places for shot-stoppers Nabbosa Haira and Ayikoru Hudah, Mushimire Ritah, Nakimera Sharifah, Kampi Halimah, Kauka Devine, Nanono Monica, Nakato Rebecca,Nabukenya Agnes, Babirye shadia, Naguya Joan, Kirenga Cynthia, Kebirungi Claire and midfielder Namutebi Krusoom.

The Ayub Khalifa coached side will tussle it out with Moroto High School, Panyandoli, Buhobe SS, Bishop Maraka and Sheema Girls in Group H of this year’s edition as they seek to win the crown for a tenth time.
