This year’s edition of the Sir Apollo Kaggwa schools and City Parents’ school talent development competitions will climax on 14th July 2022 with inter-group finals for ball games including football, netball, volleyball and basketball.

Six games will be on the card at six different venues as the competitions climax after a grueling phase one and phase two action  (group stages) of the competition that were played last term.

For starters, each group (Group A and Group B) will be represented by the selected best performing pupils in each game basing on their respective group stage performance during the inter-school ball games competitions that were held last term.

  • SQUADS:

Looking at the squads, Group A’s teams christened ‘The Warriors’ have a composition of pupils from Sir Apollo Kaggwa Primary School -Kitintale, Sir Apollo Kaggwa Primary School -Nakasero, Sir Apollo Kaggwa Primary School -Mengo and the Wakiso based duo of Kyengera Parents School and Fairways Nursery and Primary School – Kireka.

On the other hand , Group B teams  (The Challengers) feature the crème de la crème from City Parents’ School, Winston Day and Boarding Primary School Kawempe, Sir Apollo Kaggwa Boarding Primary School (Old Kampala), Sir Apollo Kaggwa Primary School -Kisaasi and Kyengera Parents School-Mugongo.

  • FINALS DUELS

The football contest will witness the Warriors (Group A) Band up against the Challengers (Group B) at Sir Apollo Kaggwa Primary School Mengo (9:00am).

Meanwhile, the Warriors will be in action against the Challengers at Sir Apollo Kaggwa Primary School Kitintale and City Parents’ School in the boy’s and girls’ basketball final respectively (9:00am).

The Warriors will also be in action against the Challengers in the netball final  at Sir Apollo Kaggwa Primary School Kisaasi(9:00am).

On the other hand, the Warriors will also take on the Challengers at Sir Apollo Kaggwa Primary School Nakasero and Winston Day And Boarding Primary School Kawempe in the boy’s and girls’ volleyball final respectively (9:00am).

For starters, this year’s Sir Apollo Kaggwa schools and City Parents’ school Inter-school talent development competitions are meant to ensure that pupils’ talents are identified, nurtured and promoted with active participation and the main objective is to have SAK/CPS schools’ team for each game which will represent the organization in national and international competitions.

The competitions are also intended to open new opportunities for learners to experience football, netball , swimming, volleyball and basketball on a level where they practise leadership, commitment, fair play and teamwork as well as participation in team sport, communication between peers, tactical play, team building and FUN.
