
Simon Peter Oketch, widely considered as one of the most promising attacking midfielders in Ugandan football , looks set to stay at BUL Football Club.
The midfielder has signed a new two – year contract at that will keep him at the Eastern Giants until at least the June of 2025.
The forward was very influential as BUL finished fourth in the league for the first time in history, notching up 13 goals across all competitions – including a memorable priceless header during their Uganda cup victory against Vipers SC in Masindi.
“There is no reason why I should leave for another team. BUL is now a big club in the country, and I can achieve everything with this club.”

“I have grown up from here and I want to continue my growth with this team so that the club and I benefit mutually.”
“BUL is set to achieve more and more success in the near future, and I want to be part of those success stories and history. So, extending my contract with the team was a no brainer.”
Meanwhile,Oketch who first played for BUL football club senior team in the 2019/20 season after excelling with their Junior team, was named the best “midfielder” in Uganda cup as the Eastern Giants claimed a clean sweep of individual honours in the competition and also made it to the best X1 of startimes Uganda premier league 2021/2022
