
Zebra Ssenyange “Mando” slain by unknown gunmen in Bwaise
Former Bombers captain Isaac Ssenyange alias Zebra Ssenyange “Mando” has been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Bwaise.
The gruesome incident happened in today’s wee-hours when yet to be known heartless gunmen attacked his family at his residence in Bwaise,they knocked at his house’s door when he was inside with his family , pulled him out and shot him several times until he died .
As it is usually the case in ghetto murders worldwide , very little of the circumstances surrounding Zebra Ssenyange’s death has been reported, the motive of the killing is still unknown and no one has so far been arrested following the brutal act however investigations have commenced.
During his playing career,Ssenyange (39), a former middle weight Black Bombers captain enjoyed a fine career and was a notable figure in the national team, turned pro in 2012 after a successful 15-year career as an amateur boxer after registering 195 wins and 19 losses and had his first professional fight against Kenya’s Patrick Amote in the same year before going on to feature prominently in the super heavy fights before before quitting the ring.
He is commonly remembered for captaining the Bombers to the 10th All Africa Games hosted by Mozambique in 2011 and also for publicly requesting whoever questioned his ability as boxer in Uganda to come face him.
Ssenyange has been notably known for facilitating training programmes for youngsters in the country after his playing career and he’s been having his own boxing club, Zebra Boxing Club.

He has been serving as the in-charge of general duties at the Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF).
