Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League side She Corporate have strengthened their goalkeeping department with the signing of Catherine Naigaga from BUL Women FC on a three-year employment contract that will keep the goalkeeper at the Sharks until 2029.

Naigaga joins She Corporate ahead of the 2026/27 campaign as the club continues to shape its squad for another competitive season in Uganda’s top-flight women’s football. Her arrival provides the Sharks with a fresh option between the posts as they prepare to build on last season’s campaign and make another push for the league title.

Naigaga arrives at She Corporate following Molly Naava’s departure for Tanzanian side Yanga Princess. Naava’s exit left a significant void in the Sharks’ goalkeeping department, having been named the league’s best goalkeeper last season. The new goalkeepers will therefore have plenty to prove as they compete to establish themselves and help She Corporate maintain stability between the posts.

The move also comes as She Corporate begin a new chapter on the technical bench following the departure of Burundian tactician Belyse Ininahazwe. The Sharks will now be under the helm of coach Pande Cifu, who inherits a side that came agonisingly close to winning the league title last season and will be expected to guide the team through another demanding campaign.

She Corporate finished second in the 2025/26 FUFA Women Super League standings after their title hopes slipped away on the final day of the season. The Sharks entered their final fixture against She Maroons knowing that a victory would seal the championship, but their ambitions were frustrated as the two sides played out a goalless draw.

That result denied She Corporate the league crown and left them to settle for second place, despite having taken the title race down to the final match. The experience will provide an important reference point for the Sharks as they return for the new campaign, with the club once again aiming to compete strongly and go one step further.

The arrival of Naigaga is therefore part of a period of change at the club, with She Corporate having to adjust both in goal and on the technical bench. Her long-term contract until 2029 also gives the Sharks an opportunity to build continuity in an important position while developing a new goalkeeping hierarchy following Naava’s departure.

For Naigaga, the move represents an opportunity to take on a new challenge at a club with ambitions of competing for major honours. She will face competition for the starting position, but her performances during the season could prove important as She Corporate seek to maintain a strong defensive foundation and convert their competitive performances into consistent results.

The Sharks will begin their 2026/27 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League campaign this weekend when they host St Noa on Sunday, September 20. The opening fixture will give She Corporate an immediate opportunity to begin the season positively and demonstrate their ambitions after narrowly missing out on the championship last term.

With a new coach, a reshaped goalkeeping department and the memory of last season’s final-day disappointment still fresh, She Corporate enter the new campaign with plenty to play for. Naigaga’s arrival adds another dimension to their preparations, while the Sharks will be hoping that the changes made during the off-season can help them mount another serious challenge for the FUFA Women Super League title.
