The semi-finals, played at Hill Preparatory School, Naguru, produced basketball of the highest standard, with every team demonstrating impressive technical ability, resilience under pressure, and the competitive spirit that has become synonymous with the FUBA Primary Schools League.
Those performances have laid the foundation for what is expected to be one of the most exciting finals in the competition’s history.The Under-11 Championship presents an exciting contest between Beautiful Beginning School and St. Patrick Primary School Kira, two sides that have steadily improved throughout the tournament. Beautiful Beginning School secured their place in the final with an impressive 32–20 victory over Sir Apollo Kaggwa Schools. Their disciplined defensive structure frustrated their opponents for long periods, while intelligent ball movement and excellent teamwork allowed them to dictate the tempo of the game and finish strongly.
St. Patrick Primary School Kira earned their place in the Under-11 final after overcoming hosts Hill Preparatory School 29–21 in a fiercely contested semi-final. Displaying composure beyond their years, the Kira side remained patient during crucial moments, capitalising on scoring opportunities while maintaining defensive discipline. Their balanced style of play has made them one of the most consistent teams in the competition, setting the stage for what promises to be an entertaining championship encounter.
The Under-13 Girls final promises to deliver another thrilling contest as Sir Apollo Kaggwa Schools face Hill Preparatory School for the championship trophy. Sir Apollo Kaggwa Schools booked their place after edging Beautiful Beginning School 27–22 in one of the most competitive matches of the semi-finals. With both teams matching each other throughout much of the contest, Sir Apollo Kaggwa Schools demonstrated remarkable composure in the closing minutes, combining disciplined defending with well-executed attacking plays to secure a hard-fought victory.
Hill Preparatory School arrives in the final full of confidence following a dominant 27–7 victory over City Parents School. The hosts produced one of the most complete performances of the tournament, controlling every aspect of the game from the opening whistle to the final buzzer. Their quick ball movement, organised defence, and clinical finishing overwhelmed their opponents, underlining their credentials as genuine championship contenders.
The Under-13 Boys championship has all the ingredients of a classic showdown as Sir Apollo Kaggwa Schools take on Hill Preparatory School in a battle between two outstanding basketball programmes. Sir Apollo Kaggwa Schools marched into the final after a commanding 42–17 victory over Beautiful Beginning School. Their performance was characterised by relentless defensive pressure, rapid transitions, accurate shooting, and exceptional teamwork, leaving little doubt about their championship ambitions.
Hill Preparatory School secured the second berth in the boys’ final with an equally impressive 46–16 triumph over City Parents School. Playing before their home supporters during the semi-finals, Hill combined defensive intensity with fluid attacking basketball to dominate the contest from start to finish. Their ability to convert defensive stops into quick scoring opportunities has been one of their greatest strengths throughout the tournament and will undoubtedly be a key factor in today’s championship clash.
