Royals Park in Butema, Hoima, was filled with excitement on Thursday evening as Patrick Kaddu produced a masterclass performance to lead Kitara FC to a convincing 4–0 win over Lugazi FC in the Uganda Premier League. The forward was in sensational form, netting twice and setting up another goal in a commanding display that earned Kitara their second victory of the season.

Kitara started the match with great energy and intent, quickly taking control of possession and dictating the tempo. Their early pressure paid off when Kaddu opened the scoring in the 13th minute, finishing expertly after being picked out by Isaac Amutuhaire’s precise through ball. The early goal gave the hosts confidence and set the tone for a dominant evening.

Lugazi struggled to match Kitara’s pace and fluid attacking play, often finding themselves pinned back in their own half. Kaddu continued to torment the visitors’ defense with his movement and sharpness in front of goal. Just before halftime, he doubled Kitara’s lead from the penalty spot, calmly sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to make it 2–0 as the home fans erupted in celebration.

The second half began with Kitara maintaining their attacking rhythm. Five minutes after the restart, Kaddu turned provider, showcasing his creativity with a clever assist to Yunus Sibira, who slotted home the third goal. The combination between the two highlighted Kitara’s strong chemistry and tactical cohesion under pressure.

Lugazi FC found it difficult to respond, as Kitara’s defense remained solid and composed throughout. Every attempt to advance was met with resilience and tactical awareness from the home side. Despite a few half-chances, Lugazi’s forwards rarely troubled Kitara’s goalkeeper, leaving the visitors frustrated and on the back foot.

Kitara’s dominance was sealed in style when substitute Gaddafi Wahab scored directly from a corner kick late in the match. His perfectly curled delivery deceived the goalkeeper, sailing straight into the net and adding gloss to an already impressive scoreline. It was a goal that summed up Kitara’s confidence and clinical approach on the night.

The victory lifted Kitara FC to fifth place on the Uganda Premier League table with seven points from four matches. Lugazi, on the other hand, dropped to ninth after suffering their second defeat, collecting only five points from five outings.

As the final whistle sounded, all eyes were on Patrick Kaddu, whose performance had inspired Kitara’s emphatic win. His leadership, precision, and contribution in all attacking phases made him the standout player of the night.
