AROUND THE SPORTING WORLD
- Uganda Martyrs Face Kawempe Test with Top Spot at Stake | Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League
The central contest is likely to be between Uganda Martyrs’ scoring threat and Kawempe’s unbeaten defence. With an average of 2.5 goals per game, the leaders have demonstrated their ability to make chances count. Kawempe, by contrast, have yet to concede, suggesting that their defensive organisation has been effective. The challenge for Uganda Martyrs is to find a way through without losing the attacking rhythm that has brought them six points. - KCCA Women Held by Makerere as Missed Chances Define Goalless Draw | Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League
The goalless draw was a story of opportunities missed and defensive interventions that mattered. KCCA had enough chances to win the match but could not find the finishing touch, while Makerere remained resilient and came within inches of claiming victory at the death. - Makerere Out to Halt KCCA’s Unbeaten Start | Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League
The statistics favour KCCA, but the one-point difference between the sides leaves little room for complacency. Makerere will need to be more effective in possession and clinical in front of goal, while KCCA will seek to turn their defensive confidence into another three-point result. - Vula’s Debut Header Gives Uganda Cranes Victory Over Libya
The victory leaves Uganda at the top of Group H with four points from two matches. Tunisia and Botswana follow on two points each after their entertaining 2–2 draw, while Libya remain on one point following their opening two fixtures. - Uganda Martyrs 4-1 Rines SS WFC: Auki Stars as Four-Star Kidda Girls March to the SummitThe victory lifted Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC to the top of the 12-team standings with six points from two matches and a goal difference of +4. They are currently the only team in the league to have collected maximum points from their opening two fixtures.
