Barcelona are champions of Spain for the 27th time in the club’s 94-year history after sealing their first title since 2019.
A 4-2 win away at local rivals Espanyol saw Barca move 14 points clear of second-placed Real Madrid with just four rounds of La Liga fixtures remaining this season.
Robert Lewandowski scored twice in Sunday’s game, while full-backs Alex Balde and Jules Kounde also netted at RCDE Stadium where Barca stormed into a 4-0 lead after just 53 minutes.
Javi Puado and Joselu notched consolation goals for Espanyol but it was too little, too late.
Espanyol’s latest defeat left the relegation-battlers 19th in the table, four points from safety.
Barca have now won two trophies since club legend Xavi Hernandez took over as manager in November 2021.
Xavi also led his side to glory in the Supercopa de Espana in January.
Barca will have the opportunity to celebrate with their home supporters next Saturday when they host Real Sociedad at the Camp Nou.
