
St. Noa Girls SS, Zzana and Amus College School are through to the final of this year’s Fresh Diary USSSA National Girls’ Football Championship after overcoming their respective semifinal opponents on Sunday morning and afternoon respectively.
Reigning champions St. Noa Girls SS, Zzana under the stewardship of Jimmy Mukubya brushed aside Rines SS (2-0) to remain on the right path to retaining their crown.
Rebecca Nyakake scored and Kampala Queens’ defender Winnie Kwatulirira scored a goal in either half to guide St. Noa Girls SS, Zzana past Rines SS in the first semifinal played at Kakyeka Stadium on Sunday.
On the other hand ,Bukedea based Amus College School under the guidance of veteran coach Frank ‘Video’ Anyau also raced on to the final of this year’s edition after overcoming Mukono based Mukono Parents High School on spot kicks (4-2) following a goalless draw after normal time in the last semi final encounter played at Ntare School in Mbarara to set up a mouth watering final tie with St. Noa Girls Zana.
