FWSL: Title Race Heats Up As Kampala Queens, 🇺🇬Martyrs seek to keep heat on table leaders.

The 2021/2022 FUFA Women Super League title race is heating up and as the competition draws closer to the end , the top title contenders have already separated themselves from the rest of the pack.

The three-horse race for the title tightened last Friday when pacesetters She Corporate drew 2-2 with third placed Uganda Martyrs HS Lubaga WFC in a typically feisty FUFA Women Super League clash and Kampala Queens won 4-2 over hosts Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC.

Catherine Nagadya’s late penalty equaliser earned Uganda Martyrs a 2-2 draw in an eventful match against the table leaders at the St. Gerald’s Stadium while Shamirah Nalugya (brace) ,Zainah Namuleme and Margaret Kunihira were on the scoresheet as Kampala Queens registered a 4-2 victory over Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC at Kawempe Muslim playground.

For starters, She Corporate appeared to be in total control a few months ago, but a 1-1 draw against Bright Nyanzi’s Rines SS WFC and failure to pick up all the three points against Uganda Martyrs gave Hamza Lutalo coached Kampala Queens side who have been ruthless in their pursuit of the title and have won all their last three league games a window of opportunity.

With 6 matches left , unbeaten She Corporate lead on 26 points and hold a one-point advantage at the summit with Kampala Queens and Uganda Martyrs second and third on 25 and 23 points respectively as they aim to chase down the table leaders.

Meanwhile, the intense FUFA Women Super League title race continues on Wednesday 4th May 2022 with pressure continuing to mount as we head to the final stretch of the campaign.

And despite the recent records of the three sides at the top of the FUFA Women Super League table, match day 13 has all the makings of potential banana skins, and could prove to be a pivotal day in the title race.

Third placed Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC will host second placed Kampala Queens on Wednesday 4th May 2022 while She Corporate will make the long trip to Masindi hoping to extend their gap at the top with a win over reigning champions (Lady Doves)on the same day.
