Luweero Giant Queens recorded their first victory of the season on Saturday afternoon, beating King of Kings WFC (5-1) in a FUFA Women Elite league game played at Nsawo playground, Luweero.
The Luweero based club came into this game looking for an improved result here following a 2-2 FUFA Women Elite league stalemate versus Ajax Queens in their last game and a brace from Babirye Hadijah and a hat-trick from stand-in skipper Namanda Jesca handed the hosts a deserved victory.
On the other hand, King of Kings WFC were also looking for an improved result here following the 4-1 losing effort in their last game against Asubo Gafford Ladies FC.

The hosts created a couple of early chances, but it was the visitors (King of Kings WFC) who had the ball at the back of the net just eight minutes after kick off thanks to Kahwa Lukia’s well taken long range free kick .
Undeterred by their poor start, Luweero Giant Queens dominated proceedings thereafter, with notable efforts from Namanda Jesca, Babirye Hadijah and Ndagire Sandra, the latter seeing her effort in the 13th minute expertly cleared off the line by the King of Kings WFC’s custodian.
Attempts continued to flow for Edward Lugolobi coached side , with Namanda Jesca again having a one-on-one effort saved by King of Kings WFC’s shot-stopper , before Babirye Hadijah tried her luck from range.
The deserved breakthrough eventually arrived in the fifteenth minute when Ndagire Sandra’s through ball found Namanda Jesca who calmly slotted home past a helpless King of Kings custodian.
King of Kings WFC, to their credit, refused to lie down, but a series of good blocks from Tambula Sarah and Ayikoru Phiona kept them at bay.
But it was Luweero Giant Queens who made it two soon after, with Babirye Hadijah finally getting her name on the scoresheet before Namanda Jesca scored two more goals to complete her first half hat-trick to take her season tally to four goals in four games.
The giant Queens onslaught continued in the second period, and the fifth goal followed soon after, with the ever-dangerous midfielder Babirye Hadijah scoring her third goal of the season with a long-range finish.

Elsewhere, Asubo Gafford Ladies FC and Isra Soccer Academy played out to a 1-1 draw at Kiteezi C/U Playground on Sunday evening.

Left-footed midfielder Madinah Nakaayi gave Asubo Gafford Ladies FC a deserved lead through a well taken free kick after a foul on Immaculate Kizza before Isra Soccer Academy leveled the matters in the 74th minute thanks to Hailat Babirye’s long range free kick.
