URA FC have continued to reshape their technical structure with the appointment of Swaib Ssebagala as the club’s new Goalkeeping Coach on a two-year contract, arriving from Entebbe UPPC FC. The move adds further strength to the backroom staff as the Tax Collectors step up preparations for the new season with a clear focus on rebuilding stability and competitiveness across all departments.
Ssebagala’s return to Nakawa brings a sense of continuity and familiarity, having previously served at URA FC during the 2023/24 campaign. His reappointment is seen as a calculated decision aimed at restoring consistency within the goalkeeping unit, while also leveraging his prior understanding of the club’s environment, culture, and technical demands.
Over the course of his coaching journey, Ssebagala has gained valuable experience across several Ugandan clubs, working with Proline FC, Soltilo Bright Stars, and Wakiso Giants. This background has helped him develop a broad tactical perspective and a strong foundation in goalkeeper development within different competitive setups in the Uganda Premier League.
His arrival is part of a wider restructuring process at URA FC, which has recently seen significant changes within the technical team. Just days earlier, the club confirmed the appointment of Jimmy Kintu Mwera as the new head coach on a two-year contract, following his acquisition from Express FC.
Kintu brings a wealth of experience, having previously managed UCU, Kyetume FC, and Calvary FC, and is expected to play a central role in reshaping the team’s identity.The addition of Ssebagala complements this new technical direction, as URA FC continue to build a refreshed coaching structure aimed at improving results and restoring the club’s competitive edge in the Uganda Premier League.
