The 2023 Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) Mini Basketball league for Primary Schools is into its final stages, with the race between Uganda’s Elite schools to get their hands on the trophy approaching a conclusion after a grueling group stage action.

With the group stages having drawn to a close on Saturday 22nd July 2023 at Uganda Christian University in Mukono, the focus and attention will swiftly turn to the semi-finals on Saturday 29th July 2023 ahead of the much anticipated final duels for each category on the same day.

U13 BOYS

There are four schools remaining in the competition and will face off in the semi-finals on Saturday. Sir Apollo Kaggwa Schools, Watoto, Nations Changers and City Parents’ School are the remaining four schools.

Sir Apollo Kaggwa Schools and Watoto qualified from conference A after emerging 1st and 2nd respectively while Nations Changers Christian School from Mukono and City Parents’ School made the grade from conference B after attaining the first and second position respectively.

In the semi-finals, Nations Changers will square up against Watoto Schools in the early kick off while Sir Apollo Kaggwa Schools will take on City Parents’ School in the second boys’ semi-final (both games will be played at Twinbrooks Primary School in Gayaza- Kiteezi).

U13 GIRLS

City Parents’ School , Watoto Schools , Nations Changers and St. Francis Junior School Buddo are the remaining four schools in contention for this year’s crown and will face off in the semi-finals on Saturday 29th July 2023, at Twinbrooks Primary School.

Nations Changers and Watoto qualified from conference A after emerging 1st and 2nd respectively while City Parents’ School and St. Francis Junior School Buddo made the grade from conference B after attaining the first and second position respectively following successful completion of the group stage action.

In the semi-finals, City Parents’ School will face Watoto Schools in one of the epic semi-final clashes anticipated.

In the other semi-final duel, Nations Changers will take on St. Francis Junior School Buddo which made the grade from conference B with five points, with just one point behind first placed City Parents’ School.

U11 CATEGORY

Sir Apollo Kaggwa schools and Hill Preparatory School qualified for the semi-finals while Nations Changers Christian School, Twinbrooks Primary School and St. Francis Junior School Buddo will have to confirm their qualification before the semi-final encounters.
