
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has announced that midfielder Khalid Aucho has been dismissed from Uganda Cranes Camp for failure to adhere to the National team Code of Conduct and FUFA Circular dated 4th March 2021.
According to a statement released by the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA),Aucho who reported from Egypt on Friday refused to board the official means of transport organised to pick him from Entebbe International Airport to the team camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel-Kisasi and has not even reported to camp since his arrival in the country.

“The player’s club Misr El Makkasa and Egypt Football Association A have duly been informed about the decision and a return air ticket has been issued to him for his travel back to Egypt”

The Misr El Makkasa midfielder was among the initial 31-man squad summoned at the start of this month by 🇺🇬Cranes interim head coach Abdallah Mubiru to begin preparations for the crucial AFCON qualifiers games slated for Wednesday 24th March (Vs Burkina Faso) in Kampala and an away tie against Malawi on Monday 29th of the same month despite having been sent off in the immediate last game against South Sudan in Nairobi.
His dismissal comes just days before Uganda Cranes take on Burkina Faso at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende and Malawi next week in the two crucial Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers games and joins Wycombe Wanderers striker Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru who withdrew from the squad citing personal issues in the United Kingdom earlier in the week.
