
Uganda Cranes Team that started in the game against Malawi

Uganda Cranes assistant coach Abdallah Mubiru, the interim head coach in the absence of suspended Johnathan McKinstry has on Friday summoned a total of 31 players that will feature in the final two 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification games against Malawi and Burkina Faso.

The team comprise of four goalkeepers, ten defenders, eleven midfielders and six forwards whilst two players from the Uganda Hippos (U20) who are currently playing at the Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania have been included on the team named today.

The two players from the Uganda Hippos (U20) are Sc Villa defende and Uganda Hippos captain Garvin Mugweri Kizito and Vipers midfielder Bobosi Byaruhanga.
The squad also has Vipers goal poacher Yunus Sentamu who has been impressive since he rejoined the Kitende based outfit after close to two years out of competitive football.

Meanwhile, Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru who features for Wycombe Wanders in the English Championship is also part of the team. Despite earning calls previously, this will be his first team to be part of the squad.
