Tanzanian giants Simba SC have completed the signing of former Vipers SC skipper and free agent Taddeo Lwanga.

The combative midfielder has been subject to interest from various Uganda top flight clubs and it was earlier reported that he had joined Express FC but he later came out and rubbished the reports.

The midfielder joins Simba SC as a free agent after being shown the exit at Egyptian outfit Tanta FC.

Lwanga joined Tanta at the start of last season in August from Vipers SC, a club where he stayed for two years and and lifted the StarTimes Ugandan Premier League in the 2017/2018 season.

He only made 11 appearances in all competitions during his short spell at the Egyptian club and provided one assist in his only season in Egypt.

Lwanga was part of the 23 Cranes man squad at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt that reached the round of sixteen.

Simba SC has become Lwanga’s fifth club in top flight after previous stints at Vipers, SC Villa, Express FC and Tanta.
